GD: What 's Your Story?
ICR Thursday January 18 th

Dear students, Here’s a reminder for your Individual course reviews on Thursday January 18th. Please prepare so that we can really start with the first review at 12:20. I have asked Steyn to make a review-scheme so make sure you are in touch with him about this. For the review itself please bring all material you have produced during the course as well as your final dummy/prototype. The dummy which was made by another student should also be in your presentation to see how it effected your process. I would like to talk with you about the process as much as about the end result (at this moment) so prepare yourself: what was the most important thing you’ve learned from the course in your opinion? Good luck with the last steps en see you all the on the 18th! Jeroen PS It can be handy to record the review.

workshop film monday 15th jan at 16.00
reschedule and assessment of the workprocess

Hi, Two issues: !: I want to reschudele the workshop of Jan 15 to 16.00 PM, to give my beloved collegues some leeway in their tight planning. 2: At the moment a small select group of students share their work process: their contributions show great progress. But I am afraid that there are other students that plan to use film as a second podium and that they think only their final contribution to the exbition will be assessed: this is a wrong assumption. What will be assessed is the students work process, their end result functions more as a nice memento (for family and friend) than as the main catalyst for the assessment. The focus is on how the student is able to develop his/her initial concept by distilling and sharpening a design question, formulating a visual hypothesis, testing the hypothesis by prototyping and trying out relevant visual experiments. This may sound complicated, but once you embark on it you will soon find out that this is not rocket science at all. To summarize in a blunt way: No Process: No Assesment! :-)JF

What is entrepreneurship? Assigment magazine Forum.
IST (2nd,3rd, and 4th year students)

VNO-NCW is an association that represents the interests of entrepreneurs. Indirectly, there are 30,000 member companies. The newsmagazine Forum provides background information on current events, where entrepreneurs, politicians and policy makers have their say. There are 40 editions per year: ten thirty in print and as a tablet magazine. Forum is also looking at connecting future entrepreneurs with a contemporary vision and associated imagery. Herein lies the question and the challenge of this assignment. The visual signature of photography in the magazine is no guideline for this taks. He is free and with the idea of the student of both fiction and documentary. Six students will be allowed to propagate and publish their views on entrepreneurship in six consecutive editions. It is precisely the diversity through six different perspectives Forum wants to challenge well-known visual traditions. Subscribe to the pitch. Copies of the Forum print edition are available for inspection at the desk of the kabk library. Read the accompanying text on the assignment of the client.

Want it, need it, buy it, forget it
